Hairdresser Studio “Style It” in Gothenburg.

The project with its 300 sqm made it possible to use space. We introdused a number of elements which was inspired of ashian movies transformed to fit into a studio in Gothenburg. The wall with a illustaration is almost 20 meters long and 4 meters high. The 300 hundred greenpainted bamboos hanging from a window in the ceiling created a semitransparant area in the middle of the barber chairs.

Another semitransparent wall divides the shop/studio and the washroom/colour laboratorie.

The oversizes logo on the wall almost reaches the ceiling and the floor and its deapth is 300 centimeters .

The small but rather incoherent space is wrapped in a sinus corrugated green
flocked steel wall.
Used on the corrugated walls it resembles endless draped velvet curtains.
A plantwall is situated at the deep end of the inner part of the restaurant, a vertical garden with hundreds of
plants placed in a multilayered and absorbent felt-surface.
Diamond shaped mirrors extend different spaces and elements such as the entrance and the plantwall.
An additional coherent element in the restaurant is the mustard coloured wooden ceiling with tilted lamellae that
diffuses the light from the fl uorescent lamps above the ceiling.
The black base of the terrazzo fl oor is customized with green and yellow pieces of glass that matches the walls
and the ceiling.
Functions such as the toilets and the entrance to the restaurant that extend from the organic green fl ocked walls
are cladded in birch wooden panels.
Taste Int. is furnished from two principles, a lounge seating with couches designed by Thomas Sandell and
black tables from Konstantin Grcic and a bar seating near the plant wall. The bar seating occurs around an
8 meter long bar table in walnut that runs through a former window in the façade and turns into a bar on the
other side, where a climate sheltered outdoor veranda is connected to the restaurant.

OlssonLyckefors was awarded a project in Karlstad after an invited competition. The project is an office building with commerce and business of 5000sqm and is situated close to the city center in the old industrial harbour and the site Barkassen.
